How to get to the boathouse

By car:
From Staten Island or Brooklyn:
Belt Parkway East to Exit 18, to Van Wyck Expressway toward Whitestone Bridge.
Exit Van Wyck 12A Long Island Expressway East.
Stay to left on exit road. Look on left for brown sign MEADOW LAKE.
Take immediate first left turn into park on right
Go right to large parking lot for boathouse. Gate into dock and boathouse is on the left hand side of the boathouse and may look locked. Unhook "S" to open gate.
From Manhattan:
Take Midtown Tunnel or 59th Street Bridge (go right on Van Dam St.) Long Island Expressway
(I-495 East) Exit 22 off LIE. There are 3 exit signs. TAKE SIGN, Van Wyck South.
Follow signs into Flushing Meadow Corona Park on right. Go right to large parking lot for boathouse. Gate into dock and boathouse is on the left hand side of the boathouse and may look locked. Unhook "S" to open gate.
Alternate route from Manhattan:
Midtown Tunnel or 59th St. Bridge to LIE (495 East).
Road splits, Stay middle or right lanes.
Exit 21 to Grand Central Parkway East.
Exit 11, to Jewel Ave.
Make first left onto Park Drive East onto the Van Wyck North.
Take first exit, 12A Long Island Expressway East.
Stay to left on exit road. Look on left for brown sign MEADOW LAKE

From Long Island and Eastern Queens:
Take Long Island Expressway West (495 West).
Exit to Van Wyck Expressway South (exit after Main Street).
Follow signs into Flushing Meadow Corona Park on right.
Go right to large parking lot for boathouse.
Gate into dock and boathouse is on the left hand side of the boathouse and may look locked. Unhook "S" to open gate.
From the Bronx:
Take Throgs Neck Bridge or Bronx Whitestone Bridge to Queens.
Take Van Wyck Expressway South to Jewel Ave. exit.
Follow signs on right into Flushing Meadow Corona Park.
Go right into large parking lot for boathouse. Gate into dock and boathouse is on the left hand side of the boathouse and may look locked. Unhook "S" to open gate.
By Subway:
E,F,G,R or V to 71st Avenue, Continental Avenue, Forest Hills.
Exit via stairway marked 70th Road North side of Queens Blvd.
At street level, next to Ridgewood Savings Bank, take Q65A bus to Flushing Meadow Lake.
Ask driver to let you off at the lake. Walk north through the park to the boathouse.
Gate into dock and boathouse is on the left hand side of the boathouse and may look locked. Unhook "S" to open gate.
